Terrific Sedona Excursions

When you end up with some spare time while in Sedona, there are a variety of Sedona tours offered for outstanding sightseeing pleasure that run from day trips to just over an hour in time. From riding the rails to lifting off for some flightseeing, there are various vacation memories to be made from Sedona, AZ.

Add some history to your vacation enjoyment by enjoying a Grand Canyon Railroad Sightseeing Tour. This fully-guided tour, complete with cowboy reenactments, is on a historic train that started in 1901 as a spur of the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway. When this trip commenced in 1901, the fare was $3.95 for the 65-mile train ride. That's not the cost nowadays. Automobile competition closed the rail in 1969, but it was recharged in 1989 and this one-of-a-kind facet of Sedona excursions has been running since then. The first part of your trip entails a ride from Sedona to the train depot at Williams, Arizona. Then you're onboard for a train ride to the Grand Canyon National Park, where you'll see the one-mile deep chasm. A mini-coach takes you to Grandview Point and the Watchtower Observatory. There's also a stop at the Navajo Nation's Cameron Trading Post. Then, it's back on the train to finish your railway adventure.

Another one of the Sedona excursions to the Grand Canyon involves a more modern mode of transportation-- the helicopter. On the Grand Canyon Deluxe-- Ground & Air Tour you receive a fully-guided tour in a luxury mini-coach to the East and South Rims of the Grand Canyon. The beautiful drive takes in Oak Creek Canyon, red sandstone sceneries, the rugged volcanic peaks of the San Francisco Mountains and culture and history from the Navajo Nation at the Cameron Trading Post. You'll be able to take a variety of breathtaking views at the Grand Canyon Watchtower Observatory. After a brief walk, you'll take off in a 30-minute helicopter ride that is sure to blow your mind with an unbelievable sightseeing adventure.
